Max Verstappen is not getting his wish according to Auto, Motor und Sport, who reports that there will be no changes introduced to racing after a virtual meeting of the team principals.
Following the Chinese Grand Prix, the four-time world champion gave a harsh verdict on the current form of racing in the competition. He explained to GPblog, among others, that this is simply "not racing", and that this 'will ruin the sport'.
According to the German news site, the Chinese Grand Prix convinced the team principals during their first assessment. No short-term changes are expected in terms of the races.
On the other hand, for qualifying, the goal is for drivers to be able to push flat out again, rather than lifting early to manage battery recharge. It is reported that drivers and teams will actively participate in the process before the FIA draws up a concrete rule proposal

Due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix and the lack of F1 weekends in April, there will be extra time to review potential adjustments. As a result, no changes will be introduced for Suzuka.

Changes could come only in 2027

F1 teams view the current on-track product positively based on the fans' feedback on social media.
The German outlet also reports that there is no urgency to change the regulations now, but it did not rule out adjustments being implemented for the upcoming campaign.
