Esteban Ocon expects phone to be hot during Formula 1 summer break

Esteban Ocon is expecting his mobile phone to keep him very busy when the Formula 1 summer break begins, with the Frenchman potentially being a drive in demand.

With "silly season" well underway, drivers and teams are very busy trying to sort out their respective futures for next year. Ocon drove for Force India last season (now SportPesa Racing Point), but was dropped for Lance Stroll.

The French driver has been at Mercedes, being the team's simulation driver in 2019 and is determined to be promoted to a Formula 1 seat next season. With Valtteri Bottas under pressure and Toto Wolff revealing the Finn's future will be decided in August, there is still a chance Ocon could be in consideration for the 2020 Mercedes seat alongside Lewis Hamilton.

"We will see what will happen with my future, I will have more answers after Budapest," Ocon revealed to Canal Plus. "There will be a lot of things going on for me (in the 2019 summer break). I expect my phone to be very hot during the summer break.
