Marcus Ericsson says he is very much looking forward to the Brazilian Grand Prix after a strong weekend in Mexico. The Swede is losing his race seat at the end of the season to Antonio Giovinazzi but is excited about his last two events with the team in 2018.
Speaking ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix in the team's race preview, Ericsson said he was heading into the weekend with a lot of confidence and was looking forward to driving the legendary track.
"We are arriving in Brazil with a good feeling after a strong weekend in Mexico, where we finished with both cars in Q3 and the points,” he said.
“Our confidence is high and we will fight hard to keep this form. The track in São Paolo is a classic. I have been there a few times now, and it is always fun to drive.
“The lap is short, so the lap times across the teams are very close, which will be a challenge. The weather is changeable and that always plays a significant role.

Ericsson has already announced plans to join IndyCar in 2019, racing for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports full-time next season.
