The pit straight DRS zone has been extended for this year’s Bahrain Grand Prix.
Two DRS zones have been in place at Sakhir, one on the pit straight and one between Turn 10 and 11.
The section between Turn 10 and 11, officially the first zone, has not been altered, but the second zone has been extended by 100 metres.
The activation zone is now 170 metres after Turn 15, the zone has been extended in order to increase the possibility of overtaking into Turn 1.
Three DRS zones were trialed at the Australian Grand Prix, although no impact was noticed.
