De Vries emotional after winning World Championship: "Glad everyone is okay"

Nyck de Vries has won the World Championship in Formula E after a chaotic race. After the race, he was visibly emotional, but also had something to say about his fellow drivers.
"I am speechless. I'm starting to get a bit emotional," said a visibly touched De Vries after the race. "It was a top season with peaks and valleys, and everyone was actually in the same boat. So everything came down to the last race."
De Vries felt like a target
"Luck was on our side today, considering everything that happened. I'm glad everyone is okay after that incident at the start," continued the brand new world champion.
The 26-year-old driver from Sneek is happy with his race, but felt attacked from all sides at one point. "I felt like a target, it seemed like nobody had any respect for anyone or anything anymore. So at one point I just focused on staying in the race," said the Formula E champion.
