Daniil Kvyat thinks the 2021 rules will "take two years" to work properly

The 2021 rule changes aim to make Formula 1 more equal and reduce the gap from the top teams to the midfield. However, Daniil Kvyat thinks that the rule changes favor the bigger teams and that they will have an advantage in 2021.
“It is always difficult to predict what kind of influence such rules will have. In the first year, the top three teams will have a natural head start when it comes to the development of the car, even with the budget ceiling,” said Kvyat to Motorsport.com.
“The new rules will not have an immediate effect. Things like this need time. Next year we will be in the final season of the current regulations and then you will see the teams coming closer together because no major steps can be taken."
Kvyat thinks that the bigger teams will be able to adapt to the rules quicker but after a few years the gap could close.
"2021 can show many similarities with 2014. The gap can grow in the first two years and then narrow again," he said.

It will be interesting to see how the new rules change the sport and if we see any changes in the rankings of the grid.
