Formula 1 drivers will travel to the United States next weekend to finish the American Grand Prix. Bobby Epstein is confident it will be a great weekend of racing. Indeed, the GP's promoter saw the organisation going extremely well.
"I don’t think we’ve ever been this prepared because the tickets sold out so far in advance," Epstein told Sports Business Journal. "It let us focus on executing the fun part and not just worrying about grandstand production and the installation of temporary structures. Things will be a lot smoother. We’ve had our challenges with food and beverage."
"Our business is not putting on the race, it’s everything else, executing on the fan experience as good as we possibly can. So to that extent, we’re focusing on things like a massive food and beverage operation, extra bands and entertainment, more shaded areas, improved walkaways, improved parking lot."

Epstein expects GP of America for years to come

Formula One first came to America in 1959, followed by years of cooperation. While a race weekend took place in Indianapolis between 2000 and 2007, Formula 1 moved to Austin in 2012.

Epstein still notices a lot of enthusiasm in the city and therefore does not expect the GP to disappear any time soon. In fact, the organisers of the motorsport class chose to add two new venues to the calendar with Miami and Las Vegas. The Miami GP took place for the first time this year and was won by Max Verstappen.
