Complete results FP2 in Spain | Leclerc fastest, Verstappen P5

Charles Leclerc set the fastest time during the second free practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix. The Monegasque was one tenth faster than George Russell in P2 and Lewis Hamilton in P3. Max Verstappen had to concede three tenths to P5.

After setting the third fastest time in the first free practice, Verstappen had to settle for fifth place after the second free practice. He came no further than a 1.20.006 on the soft tire, making him more than three tenths slower than Leclerc. Most notably, both men from Mercedes were also faster.

Carlos Sainz also fell short of his teammate and the Mercedes drivers, but was faster than Verstappen and Sergio Perez. The Mexican made up for lost miles from the first free practice, but still needs to polish his speed. Home hero Fernando Alonso can be found in P6.
