Hamilton loves this track
Five pole positions and five wins in eleven visits to Silverstone, Hamilton is imperious at his home circuit and it’s going to take some effort to stop him. The most likely candidate is Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, fastest in FP2 and current championship leader. However, he has only won once at this track, way back in 2009.
Ferrari v Mercedes
Ferrari retook the lead of the Constructors’ Championship after Mercedes’ double retirement in Austria, and track position will be crucial for the race. It will be an interesting battle of the Finns, with Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen showing good pace so far this weekend, and Valtteri Bottas looking typically consistent and unflustered.

We expect to see Haas as the fourth fastest team, with Sauber potentially springing a surprise!
