Bizzarri on rumoured CEO position Ferrari: 'Brings a smile to my face'

There have been quite a few rumours lately about potential candidates for the CEO position at Ferrari. The latest name mentioned was Marco Bizzarri, currently president and CEO at fashion brand Gucci.

Bizzarri himself denied the rumours. "For people like me, who were born near Maranello and still live there, Ferrari is a legendary brand," Bizzarri said in a conversation with WWD.

"But I am already at the helm of another Italian legend. It brings a smile to my face to read reports that say 'Bizzarri at the helm of Ferrari,' but if anything, that makes me regret not becoming a race car driver. The rest is just gossip," Bizzarri concluded.

More names are being mentioned from the luxury industry. This would be a deliberate choice by Ferrari, in the search for a CEO who can make as much money as possible for the brand.
