Fernando Alonso wants to win a third Formula 1 World Title in 2020.
Fernando Alonso retired from Formula 1 at the end of the 2018 season. He is planning on winning the Indy 500 to complete the triple crown and has recently won the Daytona 24, suggesting that preparations are going well. However, It seems that Alonso's retirement may not last long.
"I always said it is 'see you later', not goodbye," Alonso told Corriere della Sera as quoted by GPFans.
"Now I have new challenges to face with the right tools to win, while in Formula 1 there were no conditions to do the same.
"I do not have plans for 2020. Of course, winning a third title would be the greatest joy."

The Spanish racer is 37, but he says that there is no reason why age should stop him from racing at the elite level.
"Schumacher raced until he was 43," Alonso said.
"If you feel strong, you do not need to look at your age. You race until you realise that someone is stronger than you."
A return to Formula 1 would be incredibly exciting for fans who feel that he underachieved in the sport.
