Alex Albon "looking forward to testing" to help boost confidence in car

Alex Albon has said that he is already looking forward to winter testing as it will give him the opportunity to get comfortable in the car ahead of next season. Having been promoted to Red Bull Racing halfway through the season, there are still areas that Albon is not confident with and more time in a relaxed environment will really benefit the young driver.

“I am still finding areas of the car where I know I need to work and others that I feel more comfortable with. I have to find that balance where you have confidence in the car and feel that you can really extract all the performance from it," Albon said to Marca.

“I know it will take time,” he explained. “That is why I’m looking forward to the postseason tests in Abu Dhabi and even the winter tests already. It’s not always easy to make big changes during a race weekend, because there is very little time to experiment with the car.

Albon has been consistent since joining Red Bull and will hope that after preseason testing, he can really push on in 2020 and compete for podiums and race wins.
