Verstappen notices Red Bull's problems: 'We had hoped for more'

Max Verstappen had pole position as his goal for the Qatar Grand Prix, but had to settle for second in the end. After qualifying, the Dutchman reflected on the result.

"Lacking a bit of pace. I think its just been a bit tricky for us again in qualifying. You could already see that I mean Checo is not even in Q3, so it just shows that we are definitely struggling a bit more than normal but never the less still second," explained the Dutchman after qualifying.

"It's still all to play for but I wish we could have fought for more. Its always difficult to say because we have never done a race here. We just need to work on our start and see where we end up. Not really we will go through qualifying and focus on the race," the Dutchman concluded.
