Brazilian GP timetable: Third and final sprint race of the season

One week after Max Verstappen's dominant win in Mexico the next race is already on the calendar. The Brazilian Grand Prix is the second race of the triple-header with also the Qatar Grand Prix. This weekend there are also different times and it is the third and final sprint race of the season.

Qualifying on Friday

In Brazil, a sprint race is on the program again and that means that the drivers complete qualifying on Friday. At 15:30hrs they have just one hour of free practice and at 19:00hrs they have to be at the top of their game in qualifying.

Third and final sprint race

After Great Britain and Italy, Brazil will host the third and final sprint race of the season. This means that the top three again have some extra points to earn. Especially Lewis Hamilton will need these points to catch up with Max Verstappen in the battle for the world title. The sprint race is scheduled at 19:30 hours.

The winner of the sprint race not only gets three points but is also allowed to start at the front during the race on Sunday. The winner of the sprint race is also officially awarded the pole position, although there are plans to change that next season.
