Vettel hopes to drive at Aston Martin in 2022: "Fun to work with the team"

While many seats in F1 were filled by other teams last week, Aston Martin don't yet know who will be driving the green cars next year. Everyone seems to assume that Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll will return next year, but this has not yet been confirmed by the team.

During the press conference on Thursday, Vettel was of course asked questions about this. For example, does he already know more about his future. Just like the rest, Vettel doesn't know yet if he will drive with Aston Martin again next year or not.

"I'm obviously talking to the team, and I think we'll have an answer very soon. But at the moment, no news," the German was quoted as saying by Autosport.com.

Like the outside world, the current Aston Martin driver doesn't seem too worried. "I really enjoy working with the team. I think the atmosphere is great, and I believe the future of this team is very, very bright. So yeah. I'm not worried about it. And I have a feeling we'll have an answer soon."

In addition to Aston Martin, Haas has not yet confirmed that the two drivers from this season will be back in their seats next season. In addition, of course, everyone is still waiting for confirmation of the second seat at Alfa Romeo alongside new recruit Valtteri Bottas.
