Wolff proud: 'Supported Lewis in all his endeavors'

Mercedes will have to work hard to regain the world title in 2021. This season, the German racing team will face competition from Red Bull Racing who, with Max Verstappen, have been at the top of the championship for weeks. However, it does not mean that Mercedes does not have time for other activities.

Lewis Hamilton is known as a driver who, in addition to racing, is also involved in other issues. During Grand Prix's he regularly takes time out to talk about Black Lives Matter. In Hungary, he spoke out strongly about gay rights in the country.

Toto Wolff is pleased that he and Mercedes can have a part in Hamilton's fight. "This year not only we had the intensity of competing against the other teams on track but we also launched various other initiatives," the team boss says on the Mercedes YouTube channel. "I'm super proud of what we did because we fought hard against racism and supported Lewis in all his endeavours."

Wolff can give several examples about Mercedes' activities in the recent period. "We have launched an activity with the mulberry trust of schools where we support children from underprivileged backgrounds," he gives as an example.
