According to Christian Horner, Lewis Hamilton 's theories about Red Bull Racing are incorrect. The Mercedes driver spoke about the flexi-wings, the early removal of the tyre warmers and also Red Bull's gains on the straights.

Horner disagrees with Hamilton's theories

Horner is surprised by these comments from the reigning world champion. "I listen with interest to all of Hamilton's theories, but they are sometimes pretty far from reality," Horner said according to the Dutch branch of Motorsport.com. He says Red Bull's lower wing allows them to make more speed on the straights.

"We just had less drag and drove with less wing. As a result, you seem to go a bit faster on straights," the British team boss continued. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff also knows it can't be down to the Honda engine. "That engine, apart from reliability issues, is homologated. So that shouldn't make a difference"

A lot of work for Mercedes

Wolff acknowledges that Red Bull made a big step at Paul Ricard by coming up with a different aerodynamic package. "With relatively little wing they were still competitive in the twisty sections and that means we have to do our homework better."
