Following the cancellation of VT1 at the Eifel GP this morning due to bad weather conditions, the FIA has just announced that VT2 will not take place either. The fog is still too thick and this is preventing the medical helicopter from taking off.

All day long it has been very bad weather above the track, but it is mainly the fog that causes problems. According to the FIA, it is not responsible to start the training session, as the medical helicopter cannot take off or land because of the fog.

Disappointment for Schumacher and Ilott

So Schumacher and Ilott's big day literally and figuratively fell into the water. During VT1 the two youngsters would be allowed to do the training for Alfa Romeo and Haas respectively. So it will be waiting for the two young drivers when they get the chance to show what they can do again.

A big disappointment for all the fans in the stands, but also for the drivers and the teams. They are now missing out on many important dates for the coming race weekend. This ensures that tomorrow will be a very busy day for the teams, if they only have one free practice session left.
