Lewis Hamilton can match Michael Schumacher's record of victories at the Eifel Grand Prix, as in Russia. In Russia, he did not succeed, because of the penalty he received for making a mistake in his test start.

Home of Schumacher

According to F1 journalist Chris Medland, it would be 'apt' if Hamilton matched the record at the Nurburgring. "Given the Nurburgring is Schumacher’s home venue – he was born in Hurth, less than 100km away. especially as it was not expected to host a race this year before the Covid-19 pandemic struck," writes Medland on F1.com.

"Hamilton’s likely to face fewer questions about it in the build-up, but while he remains on 90 wins there’s always the potential for a major milestone to be achieved come Sunday afternoon," says Medland.

Hamilton has already won six out of ten races this season with Mercedes and seems hungry for more. It's only a matter of time before he not only matches Schumacher but overtakes him.
