Horner not finished with F1 yet: ''Fight for the world title again every year''

Christian Horner began his Formula 1 adventure in 2005 as the youngest ever team boss, when he was appointed by Dietrich Mateschitz as the man to lead Red Bull Racing to the top. Sixteen years later, Horner still isn't finished.

The longest seated team boss

In 2005 Red Bull Racing made their Formula 1 debut. The team are seen as the hippies of the paddock with their Star Wars livery and youthful attitude in and around the paddock. It was the image but under the skin of the team they had the aim of becoming World Champions.

Now, sixteen years later, Horner has won eight world titles. Four drivers' championships with Sebastian Vettel and, in the same seasons, the Constructors' Championship. Sixteen years in the same position is a long period, but the Brit also started very early. He doesn't see himself stopping soon.

Horner doesn't think about quitting

''I am still relatively young at 46. I am very motivated to get this team back in a winning position and to compete for the world title every year. That is my motivation. I enjoy the competition and the people with whom I am allowed to work," said Horner in conversation with Racefans.net.

Max Verstappen's team boss doesn't want to look too far into the future: ''I never look very far ahead. I've been here for 15 to 16 years now and that has actually passed very quickly."
