Matthew Savage has admitted his delight and being able to complete his takeover of Williams. The chairman of Dorilton Capital hopes that Williams will be able to move up the grid in the coming years. This should be made possible by investments of the American company. Furthermore, Savage has insisted that Williams will not move and will continue to work from Grove.

We are delighted to have invested in Williams and we are extremely excited by the prospects for the business," Savage said in an initial response to the acquisition in a press release. "We believe we are the ideal partner for the company due to our flexible and patient investment style, which will allow the team to focus on its objective of returning to the front of the grid."

At Dorilton they are looking forward to the coming years. "We look forward to working with the Williams team in carrying out a detailed review of the business to determine in which areas new investment should be directed. We also recognise the world-class facilities at Grove and confirm that there are no plans to relocate," said the American.

Since the end of May, the British team had held talks with potential investors. In the end it was decided to go with Dorilton. How much was paid for Williams' shares was not disclosed.
