At Red Bull Racing they don't really know what to do with the case of Racing Point. Advisor Helmut Marko states that the stewards' statement does not give a clear answer to the question of whether or not copying is allowed. The Austrian race team, therefore, makes an appeal to the FIA.

"The verdict raises more questions than it answers," Marko tells Motorsport-Magazin.com. According to the German medium, Red Bull had hoped for a clarification of what is allowed and what is not, so that AlphaTauri may be able to copy Red Bull next year. However, the stewards have only said something about the specific case of Racing Point.

Marko argues that the FIA should hurry

The international motorsport federation announced on Friday that the regulations for 2021 will be changed quickly. "Then they should do it quickly", Marko calls out. The development of cars for next year has already been started by the teams and so the FIA has to hurry.

Nikolas Tambazis didn't want to make any statements this weekend about exactly what measures will be taken. "If individual parts are copied, okay, but not fundamentally whole cars. Copying has always existed in Formula 1, but Racing Point took it to a new level and applied this philosophy to a whole car. They turned the usual design process of the last forty years completely upside down. We don't want eight or nine Mercedes cars next year," said the FIA technical top man.
