It is by no means certain, but it seems that Formula 1 will add at least one of the circuits from the list 'Imola, Mugello and Portimao' to this season's calendar. The drivers are also taking this into account, as Esteban Ocon's preparation shows.

The Frenchman has never driven on the Portuguese circuit before and so he is now doing everything from home to compensate for that lack of experience. "I still have to learn Portimao," he says to RaceFans.net. "I've done a lot of laps on my sim and that felt good. I'm happy that I can do many races there and if this is the way in which we can practice more in the future then it is fantastic".

Ocon is also very excited about the possible arrival of Imola and Mugello, circuits where he has good memories from the time in the step up classes to Formula 1. That opinion is shared by teammate Daniel Ricciardo. Unlike Ocon, the Australian does have experience with the circuit in the Algarve.

Ricciardo became a Formula 3 champion here and just like in Imola and Mugello he enjoyed the layout of the circuit. "So I'm not disappointed if any of this happens. I think I'm going to invest in a home simulator or something to freshen me up, but I'm quite familiar with at least those two circuits".
