Racing Point has received a substantial cash injection since Lawrence Stroll joined the team. Lance Stroll's father took a big bag of money but according to team boss Otmar Szafnauer they remain the smallest team.

The entry of the Canadian Lawrence Stroll gave the former Force India much more breathing space but they are still the smallest team financially speaking. At least that's what Otmar Szafnauer says to Autosport.

"When Lawrence came to us he gave us a lot more budget, so we had significantly more money. Despite his injection of money that increased our budget by almost 40%, I think we are still the smallest team. We have the lowest budget and the least people work in the pitlane."

Fight with Haas F1

According to the team boss, not Williams but Haas F1 is the team with whom they are fighting for the title: smallest team. "Haas may have fewer people working at the factory than we have, but if you look at the total number of people working for the team, we have fewer."

If this is true then they have things a lot better done at Racing Point than at Williams or Haas. The latter were structurally behind for almost the whole season.
