Calendar after calendar appears in your image, but Formula 1 hasn't made anything official for the rest of the season yet. Spain saw the race postponed in May, but is hoping for a second chance later in the season.

F1 to Spain, right?

''Right from the start, we've been sitting around the table with Chase Carey. We want to help the sport with a nice race and a fuller championship and with thirty years of racing experience we can offer Formula 1 and the teams a lot in terms of logistics'', says general manager of the circuit in Barcelona, Joan Fontsere.

''We are in close contact with Formula 1 and have talks about a new date. Europe will be visited in July and August in the new calendar, so those are also days that we are aiming for. Nothing is impossible for us, because we really want to organize the event and the day doesn't matter'', says Fontsere to Motorsport.com.

Help from the government

''Normally in August we would suffer too much from the holidays, but 2020 is an exception. Now we want to be in August, to indicate a starting point to be able to reopen a lot. We can organise such an event without fans, because we have plenty of races throughout the year''.

The stumbling block could still be the government, but that doesn't seem to be the case either. ''The Catalan government would like to help us. To have a better Formula 1 in 2021, we must help now and not only think of ourselves'', concludes Fontsere.
