The Agnelli family, owners of Ferrari's F1 outfit and football team Juventus among other things, have announced they will be donating €10 million as well as medical equipment and ventilators in a bid to fight off the coronavirus in Italy.

Italy is the second-worst hit country in the world with COVID-19, with the death toll expected to reach 3,000 before Thursday. Ferrari have already suspended all operations at the factory in Maranello, including the F1 team.

To help, the Agnelli family donated the large sum of money to the Italian Civil Protection Department. Besides this, they have given the Red Cross and Italy's Association for Public Assistance a fleet of vehicles to reach citizens in need more quickly and provide them with food and medical attention.

On top of this, they have also provided 150 ventilators and a flurry of medical equipment. It is a great gesture for a country that desperately needs any help it can get.
