The front-row battle
Lewis Hamilton vs Sebastian Vettel, the championship fight and the front two for the race. Who will get the better start and run through Eau Rouge onto the straight? This could be a decisive race for the championship.
A new podium finisher?
Only Sergio Perez from outside the top three teams has scored a podium this season, but along with him, team mate Esteban Ocon and Romain Grosjean could be in with a shout for a top three finish. It would be Ocon’s first in F1 and Grosjean’s first since this race three years ago.
Can Bottas cut through the field?

Starting P17, it could be a tough race for Valtteri Bottas. However, in the Mercedes and at a track that is good for overtaking, we could well see the Finn way into the points at the end of the race.
A first lap crash
Spa has classically been a circuit known for a first lap pile up. The 1998 crash is one of the biggest in recent F1 history and the Grosjean-triggered 2012 crash one of the scariest. Watch out for some first lap action, there usually is!
Red Bull struggles
Red Bull have been having difficulty all weekend, with Verstappen and Ricciardo starting in seventh and eighth respectively. It will be interesting to see if they can make their way towards the upper echelons of the points.
