Max Verstappen will look to get back on top when the US Grand Prix comes around and the Dutchman is expecting an interesting race at the Circuit of the Americas.

It was a frustrating race at the Mexican Grand Prix for Verstappen, after qualifying on pole he was then given a three-place grid penalty for speeding under a yellow flag. After a puncture forced him to pit following a battle with Valtteri Bottas, Max fought back to finish P6.

Despite a topsy-turvy weekend, Verstappen is now looking forward to the US Grand Prix.

"Being in Austin again is always nice," the Dutchman looks ahead.

"A great track to ride my hundredth race in Formula 1. The track is one to enjoy: Pretty bumpy and many different turns.

“Hopefully our car should be pretty competitive and last year's catch-up race to the podium was also a lot of fun. The track offers opportunities to catch up, which should also result in an interesting race.

Despite the result not being as hoped Verstappen was content with his recovery to reach P6.

“That was not the position we had hoped to finish since the car was very fast. Still, it was a good recovery to reach that spot from P20, especially after all the events from the start of the race," he added.
