Lewis Hamilton has said that he would have liked to have driven at the same time as Ayrton Senna and been a teammate with the Brazilian. The Brit has always had a strong admiration for the three-time world champion.

Hamilton is closing in on his seventh world title which could be secured in Mexico next weekend and his original helmet was in yellow to show his respect for Senna.

"I grew up in the 80s, so my favourite driver was Ayrton. He still is today," as quoted by soymotor.com.

"He would be the partner I would love to work with. Running on the same team you can learn a lot and you can really compare yourself with that person because you have the same material."

"I'd like to run in the late 80s or early 90s. I liked those cars with wide tires, a very low chassis, the manual gearbox ... And the V10 and V12 engines sounded great."
