Robert Kubica: Monza is one of my favourite circuits

Robert Kubica has endured a tough season so far at Williams, picking up just one point to date as the team sit bottom of the constructor's list. The Italian Grand Prix has had special moments for the Kubica in the past and he'll be hoping that he can improve on recent results this weekend.

"Monza is one of my favorite circuits," Kubica said. It is a unique place as it is a high-speed track, with some heavy braking points into the chicanes, especially in the first sector.

"It’s a special venue for me; I made my debut in single-seaters there, as well as it being my first podium in Formula One. There is always a good atmosphere at Monza, it’s a great place to race and I expect a lot of Italian fans to be cheering for me."

The Pol finished last weekends race at Spa in 17th positon two places behind his Williams teammate George Russell.

The 34-year-old has won one race in his career to date, coming in the Candian Grand Prix in 2008.
