Mercedes believe that they will be able to get Lewis Hamilton's car ready for qualifying after the championship leader crashed in the middle sector in final practice earlier.

Hamilton ran wide at turn 12 and suffered a heavy impact into the wall, but Mercedes believe that they will be able to get his car ready for qualifying.

The Brit has taken four pole positions this season, but was already an underdog in Belgium as Ferrari seem to be the quicker car this weekend.

Toto Wolff told Sky Sports: "Hopefully it's not the engine or the gear box, and it doesn't look too bad at the moment.

"I think if I would run around and panic like a headless chicken it wouldn't be good for the guys fixing the car so we need to be calm."

Mercedes added: "We will be replacing both front corners (suspension and wheel assemblies), nose, barge boards and floor. Barring unexpected nasty surprises, we believe we can complete all of the work in time for the start of qualifying."
