Christian Horner believes that Formula 1 could replace the halo with the aeroscreen that is set to be used in IndyCar next season.
The halo was brought in at the start of the 2018 season to improve driver safety, protecting the drivers' heads.
The value of the halo was seen in a multi-car pile up at the start of the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix, where Fernando Alonso's McLaren bounced off of Charles Leclerc's halo, potentially saving the life of the young Monegasque.
The aeroscreen was considered as an option, but F1 decided to go with the halo, whereas IndyCar have decided to introduce the screen.
Horner told Autosport: "I'll be interested to see how it operates in IndyCar, how it's received, some of the challenges that will inevitably happen.

"But I think it will be a good test pit for it. And if it works, then why not look at introducing it to F1?
"Hopefully it will work out well for them."
