Williams could be set to join forces with Renault in 2020 as the team looks to return to past glories following an abysmal run in recent seasons.
Although securing third in the Formula 1 championship in the first season following the introduction of the hybrid power units, the historic team has been on a gradual decline to the sports slowest team currently.
While Mercedes dominates the sport at the head of the field, Williams could be set to swap the power units in the back of its car in favour of a switch to Renault in a move that would rekindle an iconic Formula 1 partnership from the past.
In one of the team's most successful periods in the sport, Williams Renault won five constructor championships between 1989 and 1997, including four drivers' titles.
A reunion with the French manufacturer would no doubt generate huge amounts of hype amongst fans however any switch would need to be followed up with improvements as Claire Williams looks to guide the team back to the top of the F1 mountain.
