Breaking: Kimi Raikkonen will start from the pit lane
Kimi Raikkonen has been handed a pit lane start after his Alfa Romeo failed a front wing deflection test. He had qualified inside the top 10 which would have given his team a handy platform. He joins Pierre Gasly and Robert Kubica in the pits.
His front wing was found to have deflected more than 5mm when a 60N force was applied. These tests occur to prevent teams from designing body parts to bend under load because this will create an aerodynamic advantage.
Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc moves up to P8. The Ferrari driver crashed during his second run in Q2.
