A third DRS zone will be available to drivers during the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend with a new zone added between turns three and four.

Ahead of the 2019 race, the FIA confirmed that there would be a new zone added to the existing two in order to promote overtaking.

With DRS zone one being on the main start-finish straight, the new DRS zone will be after turn three up the hill on the run to turn four with the detection point 50m before the apex of turn one.

The third and final zone on the lap is on the straight that includes the support pits between turns 10 and 11.

With the new, bigger rear wing designs in 2019, DRS is projected to be much more effective than last season so we could see a huge number of overtakes throughout the Bahrain Grand Prix.
