Will Kevin Magnussen pick up a grid penalty?
Formula 1 journalist Chris Medland reports that Sergio Perez is visiting the stewards following the unsafe release incident with Kevin Magnussen.
UPDATE: MAGNUSSEN AVOIDS PENALTY
The incident caused problems in the pitlane, and because it was in qualifying, it could result in a grid penalty.
What would this mean for those around Magnussen?
Haas had a brilliant session, finishing 5th and 6th. Romain Grosjean picked up the best of the rest award. Though if Magnussen moves down from 6th, it would lift debutant Lando Norris up to 7th which would give McLaren a good chance to start the season in style.
Saw Perez heading to the stewards to talk about the Magnussen unsafe release incident. As it was in qualifying, could be a grid penalty there, which would make it even better day for McLaren and Norris (as well as Kimi and Perez himself) #F1 #AusGP
