Christian Horner, during an interview with
Bella James for a
TikTok video, was confronted with statements he had made a few years earlier. Among other things, the team boss claimed that more women are showing interest in
Formula 1 because the drivers are so handsome. But instead, the man behind
Red Bull Racing was then asked whether it might be because the team bosses in the premier class of motorsport are so good-looking.
While the interviewer admitted that she thought
Toto Wolff was not the worst-looking team boss on the
Formula 1 grid, Horner played along, saying that he has his reservations about that:
"I'm not sure. I'm not a member of the Toto Wolff fan club."Horner jokes that his daughter wanted a different Red Bull driver
Horner was then asked which Formula 1 driver he thinks looks best. According to the Englishman, all drivers have something, but at the Horner household, there is a clear preference.
"Well, look, my daughter would love us to sign Charles Leclerc," Horner explained in the interview.
"They all have their charm," concluded the
Red Bull Racing CEO, who was visibly surprised by the questions he was asked. Horner's daughter, however, will have to make do with
Liam Lawson, who will drive for the team in 2025.
Indeed,
Max Verstappen became Formula 1 world champion for the fourth time in a row in 2024. Sergio Pérez, his teammate in recent years, was disappointing as the Dutchman's teammate that season - as well as the year before. Red Bull therefore decided to replace the Mexican with Lawson, who drove for Visa Cash App RB (now
Racing Bulls) last season.
