Charles Leclerc has continued the social media joke about Oscar Piastri being from Monaco following the first free practice session. The man from Monaco says the Leclerc family have mixed feelings following Piastri's P2 finish on the timesheets.

Piastri from Monaco?!?

Recently, Piastri has been claiming 'home races' everywhere. The McLaren driver, who is from Australia, claimed he was part Italian for the Imola Grand Prix last weekend.

The Australian driver then found himself in a rather amusing exchange with Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who will be celebrating his home race this weekend. In order for Piastri to claim this weekend as another home race, Leclerc offered to adopt the McLaren driver. Since the initial exchange, a range of hilarious responses has followed, including from Piastri's mother, Nicole. Piastri's mum said she had some questions about the situation.

The joke has continued after FP1. McLaren's Piastri finished second in the timesheets, and Leclerc finished fifth. The Ferrari driver didn't put on the soft tyres, whereas Piastri did. Still, Charles believes there are some mixed feelings for the 'Leclerc family'.

Formula 1 also added the new name to the official results.
