Tsunoda and Ricciardo not dissatisfied: 'Difficult to predict'

Visa Cash App RB drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda were fairly invisible in the first two free practice sessions. In Bahrain, the constructor did not yet score any points in the constructors' championship, but they are obviously hoping to change that in Saudi Arabia. Ricciardo and Tsunoda evaluate the first day of racing in Jeddah.

Tsunoda didn't feel it went badly in VT1 and VT2. "Overall, it was a good day today. There are still a few areas we need to look at tonight, but the car feels good in terms of balance. The data we collected in both practice sessions today is important and will help us find more speed for tomorrow."

Ricciardo predicts fun qualifying

Ricciardo is not entirely dissatisfied either, predicting a very entertaining qualifying session in Jeddah. "We will get back to work and see how we can get it all on track. Looking at tomorrow (qualifying day, ed.), it's really hard to predict the result, because it was very close today."

"It's such a different circuit to Bahrain; the surface and the way the tyres behave are different. It's a great circuit, so I think qualifying tomorrow will be a fun session," the good-humoured Australian hinted. Ricciardo is again driving a full season in the king class of motorsport this Formula 1 season, unlike last season, when he was Nyck de Vries' replacement.
