Lando Norris gets advice from Zak Brown about his facial hair

The ending to the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix had all of us off our seats. Lando Norris was just seven-tenths behind race winner Max Verstappen at the chequered flag after hunting the Dutchman down for the last portion of the race. The Miami GP winner told Sky Sports after the race a bizarre piece of advice he was given by McLaren CEO Zak Brown, who said Norris would have won the Grand Prix if the young Brit had shaved off his beard beforehand!

Brown's Bizarre advice

Speaking to Sky Sports after a gargantuan effort in Imola, Norris said: "I have so many back issues! It's game over already for me! Zak Brown said if I shave off my half beard, it's eighth tenths and that would've won me the race today. I'm going to have to shave! it took me 24 years to go grow this," joked Norris after the race. Will he follow Brown's advice for Monaco? Time will tell!

Brown is very confident McLaren will win more races during the rest of the 2024 Formula 1 season with both Oscar Piastri and Norris. The McLaren CEO left Imola smiling ear-to-ear as he knows his team can challenge Red Bull.

Ferrari will also be getting in on the mix. They introduced an upgrade for the Imola Grand Prix weekend, which both drivers were pleased with.
