After the great success Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen are having together at the moment, you would say he is the big darling of the team boss, Christian Horner. This just does not appear to be the case.

The new season of the popular Formula 1 series Drive to Survive was released on Friday. In the second episode, Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner plays a major role. The episode covers, among other things, the arrival of Daniel Ricciardo as a reserve driver at Red Bull and the departure of Nyck de Vries at AlphaTauri.

Daniel Ricciardo at the forefront of Horner's mind

In a scene set around Horner's house, the team boss is talking to his daughter. He asks her who her favourite drivers are, to which she replies; ' 'Everyone.... at Red Bull." In turn, the 50-year-old's daughter asks who holds the first place in his heart. Without hesitation, Horner responds immediately with ''Daniel Ricciardo''.

Daniel Ricciardo has driven for Horner for five years, which included several years at Toro Rosso. Together they have won seven Grands Prix and more than 20 podiums. Max Verstappen, meanwhile, exceeds all of Ricciardo's statistics. So one might wonder whether Ricciardo actually holds the first place in the team boss's heart, or whether this answer was best for the course of the Netflix episode.
