Is Ricciardo fully aiming for Red Bull seat? 'That's where my focus is'

Daniel Ricciardo is frequently linked with Sergio Perez 's seat at Red Bull Racing, which could become vacant in 2025 if the team decides not to renew his contract. At the Bahrain International Circuit, he addresses whether the seat next to Max Verstappen is his ultimate goal.

Ricciardo back alongside Verstappen in 2025?

"It’s kind of a big picture" Ricciardo said when asked. "it's not something on my mind in respect to where I currently am as well. A long season ahead. The way I get back to the front of the grid is trying to hustle this car as hard as possible. And produce weekends like Mexico. And obviously do that more consistently."

"Then see what happens. But, yeah, sitting here now, it's fully focused on where I'm at and trying to establish myself again. I feel like I started to do that a little bit last year, coming back into the sport" he adds.

"I feel like there are a lot of races this year to try and do that and prove it to myself. Then I’ll see what happens around." Ricciardo said.
