Max Verstappen's performance coach, Bradley Scanes, is quitting. That means next year the Red Bull Racing driver will start his tenth F1 season with a new coach. Scanes is said to have previously indicated he will quit the team after this year.

Verstappen starts tenth F1 season with new physio

The Telegraph reports that British Physio, Scanes, will no longer be part of the Verstappen team within Red Bull from next year. For four years, Scanes was Verstappen's regular trainer. The Briton thus worked with Verstappen during all three championships he won. Together, they accounted for 46 race victories.

The two worked closely together on a weekly basis, but the newspaper reports that Scanes is quitting his duties as he also has other work and would like to be at home with his family. Scanes' predecessor was Jake Aliker. The partnership between Aliker and Verstappen ended after the 2019 F1 season. It is not yet known who will take over Scanes' role in 2024.
