Jos Verstappen crashed into the crash barrier prior to a Spanish rally, causing substantial damage to his car. Next Friday and Saturday a rally will be held in Alicante in which Max Verstappen 's father is competing, but things went wrong for the 51-year-old driver during the first test prior to that competition.

On the first day of testing, the track was explored by the drivers. The front end of the car was badly damaged after it crashed into the crash barrier, yet the car suffered no mechanical damage with the bolide. The man behind the wheel, Verstappen, came out of the incident unscathed (as far as we know).
