Jordan: 'Norris can win Grand Prix at McLaren, everyone wants him'

The season started rather mediocre for McLaren, but now the team is making good progress. Drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris have been throwing high points since the last races. The two talents are not that old yet (22 and 23), but many Formula 1 fans are already excited about the two. Eddie Jordan, too, has nothing but good words for Norris.

"I think actually McLaren have turned the corner. I think that they're coming good again," Jordan told the Formula for Success podcast. "Norris would be an asset for any Formula One team. So I'm sure all of the other top teams are well aware of what his contractual terms are. But if they keep going, the way they're going right now, then I see Lando winning Grand Prix at McLaren," Jordan continued.

Where do Norris, Piastri and McLaren stand?

Norris is currently eighth in the world championship in the current Formula One season. The Bristol-based Englishman has scored 69 points in the first 12 races of the season. Teammate Piastri managed 34 points and is currently 11th in the world championship.

McLaren as a team is fifth among constructors. Next weekend, the Dutch Grand Prix is scheduled at Zandvoort. Then Norris and consorts will have another chance to bring in points and work towards championship positions.
