Italian media have reported that the relationship between Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene and technical director Mattia Binotto is at an all-time low, as the recent dip in form has caused the relationship to sour.

Corriere della Sera reporter Daniele Sparisci writes that the significant lack of form from Ferrari since the summer break is directly related to the death of Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne this summer, as he was the keeper of the balance within the Italian team. Since his unfortunate passing in July, the relationships within the Ferrari team have reportedly gone off a cliff.

There are two camps, Sparisci reports, with Arrivabene on one side and Binotto on the other side. Both men want to have more influence within the F1 team, which is why their relationship is at an all-time low.

Whether all of this is true or not is unknown, but Corriere della Sera is normally well-informed when it comes to Ferrari, so this report should definitely be taken seriously.
