Timo Glock does not suspect Max Verstappen will take it easy after the summer break. The 41-year-old German does not see anything or anyone stopping the reigning world champion at the moment. Glock also envisages that Oscar Piastri will have a great future.

"Verstappen will pick up where he left off after the summer break at Spa," is Glock's firm belief. "The world champion is currently at an incredibly high level and is showing that nothing - not even sixth place on the grid - can deter him." According to the analyst, Max once again proved in the race that he has an incredibly high level of tyre management.

"He didn't rush anything at the start because he knows what speed he has. He approached the overtaking manoeuvres smartly, took his time, then performed really well and already has a lead over his teammate that is really stunning," he said of the 125-point gap to Sergio Perez. If Verstappen crashes five times on Sunday, Perez will have to win all those races to be equal in points. "Right now, there is nothing that can stop Verstappen," said the former Formula 1 driver.

Piastri is predicted big future

One driver that the 25-year-old might be able to stop in the future is Oscar Piastri. The rookie even briefly drove first in the McLaren in the sprint race, although he did not have the material to really make it a battle with Verstappen. Glock is impressed with Piastri, especially the former Formula 2 champion's qualifying speed.

"For a rookie driving in Formula 1 for the first time at Spa-Francorchamps, it was very impressive. He has a great future ahead of him and has done everything right so far this season. In qualifying, he is on par with Lando Norris. He is doing that consistently and very well. In the future, he will definitely be someone who will convince with talent and who can put pressure on Max Verstappen if given the right opportunities."
