What time are the sessions for the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona?

The Spanish Grand Prix week is here. Formula 1 drivers have little rest at the moment. The Monaco Grand Prix is barely over and the next race is on the programme. Sunday in Monaco, the luxury motorhomes were taken down and they are on their way to (the region of) Barcelona. There, the Spanish Grand Prix is scheduled for Sunday, the home race for Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz.

Red Bull Racing looking for seventh win in a row

Spanish fans are obviously hoping that their favourites Alonso and Sainz will compete for the podium and perhaps even victory at the Circuit de Catalunya. If so, they will probably have to deal with Max Verstappen and his Red Bull Racing. The Austrians are looking to take their seventh win in a row this season in Spain. No doubt Sergio Perez, who had a dramatic weekend in Monte Carlo, is just as keen to celebrate a win as he does not want to go further behind Verstappen in the championship standings.

Barcelona weather

At the moment, the weather in the Barcelona region is somewhat turbulent. For next weekend, showers seem to be approaching the circuit, especially on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. It is possible that, like in Monaco, we will see wet asphalt halfway through qualifying or the race.

Where can you follow Spain's Formula 1 weekend?

In the United Kingdom, coverage of the Spanish Grand Prix will be shown on Sky Sports. All sessions will be live. With a subscription to F1TV, you can also follow the Spanish GP and also have the option to choose commentary from different countries. Though this option is not available for users in the United Kingdom.

At GPblog, you can also find the latest news again this weekend and a liveblog for each session is available on the website. These liveblogs will be published one hour before the start of the session. In addition to the live report, you can also be the first to find all summaries, reactions and analysis here.
