Preliminary results Monaco GP | Verstappen also best in wet Monaco
Red Bull Racing remain unbeaten this season. The Austrian team saw Max Verstappen triumph on the streets of Monaco, where a late rainstorm created excitement and chaos. Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon completed the podium.
In Monaco, where the wall is always close by, there were remarkably few dropouts. Only when the rain fell did drivers really get into trouble, and Lance Stroll was the first casualty. Yuki Tsunoda seemed to be on his way to a fine podium finish, but the Japanese driver lacked confidence in his brakes. The AlphaTauri driver went off briefly and then took it easy. For Ocon - who has mostly driven in the midfield this season - it was a great day anyway. The Frenchman finally grabbed another podium finish.
