It is being considered whether Formula 1 and MotoGP can be organised together in the same weekend in the future. According to the boss of Dorna, the company that organises MotoGP, this is not possible at the moment but is being looked at to see if it can be done in the future.

Formula 1 and MotoGP are both very popular when it comes to motorsport. While the two classes occasionally use the same tracks, they do not yet do so on the same weekend. Carmelo Ezpeleta, the CEO of Dorna, indicated at SoyMotor.com that he and Stefano Domenicali are looking at whether this can be done in the future.

"It's something Stefano and I thought about, but at the moment it's not possible. We are going to see if it is possible. We are going to study it because it is not something simple. There are security problems, because in some cases our measures don't match theirs. There are also sponsorship problems, but we keep thinking," Ezpeleta says.

No earlier than 2027

Currently, both classes use four of the same circuits. These are the circuits in Barcelona, Austin, Spielberg and Silverstone, so those seem to be the contenders. According to Ezpeleta, it will not happen before 2027 in any case, as MotoGP has contracts with circuits until 2027.
